Brahmotsavams in Kadapa from May 25

The 20th annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Jayanagar Colony will be conducted from May 25 to 31.

The festivities will commence with ‘Medhini puja’, ‘ankurarpanam’ and ‘ekanta seva’ on May 25 evening. ‘Sahasranamarchana’, ‘swarna pushparchana’, ‘Srivari Tiruveedhi utsava’ and ‘dhwajarohanam’ will be held from 6 a.m. on May 26 followed by ‘agni pratishta’, ‘kumbharadhana’ that night, according to a statement.

‘Chandana alamkaram’ would be held on May 27 morning, ‘abhishekam’ on May 29, ‘Swarna kavacha alamkaram’ on May 30 and ‘pushpayagam’ on May 31 were organised.

The presiding deity would be taken round on ‘Sesha vahanam’ on May 26, ‘Suryaprabha vahanam’ and ‘Gajavahanam’ on May 27, ‘Hamsa vahanam’ on May 28, ‘Garuda vahanam’ on May 29 and ‘swarna kavacha vahanam’ and ‘kumbha vahanam’ on May 30. ‘Abhishekam’ and ‘snapana thirumanjanam’ would be held at 11 a.m. from May 26 to 30 and ‘ekanta seva’ would be performed at 9 p.m. every day.
