Botcha hands over cheques to AgriGold victims

Over 32,000 get relief in Vizianagaram district

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botcha Satyanarayana on Thursday said that 32,000 AgriGold victims out of 52,000 got relief with the release of ₹32 crore in Vizianagaram district.

He said that all the 32,000 victims had invested below ₹10,000 and the government would extend financial assistance for the depositors of above ₹20,000 category from December.

He handed over cheques to AgriGold victims at a function organised at Anada Gajapathi Auditorium.

Mr. Satyanarayana allowed the depositors to speak from the dais and assured them of crediting the amount within few days.

Mr. Satyanarayana directed the district officials to update their bank details immediately since some of them might have changed their accounts.

Vizianagaram Member of Parliament P Bellana Chandrasekhar, District Collector M. Hari Jawaharlal, Superintendent of Police B. Rajakumari and other officials were present.
