Billiards, snooker tourney inaugurated

District Collector Kantilal Dande on Monday inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State Senior Billiards & Snooker Ranking Tournament 2015 at the LVR & Sons Club and Reading Room here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kumar lauded the efforts of the club in hosting the State-level tourneys for many consecutive years and said that the facilities at the club were on par with those available at metro cities.

Later, Mr. Dande took a shot of cue amidst round of applause.

More than 100 players across the two States are taking part in the tourney.

The LVR & Sons Club had the distinction of hosting several national open Billiards Tournaments. International players like, Geeth Sethi had compiled records on the tables here.

LVR Club and Reading Room president A. Maruthi Prasad, secretary Movva Chandramouli, joint secretary Pamulapati Srinivasa Rao and treasurer Bijenepalli Radhakrishna were present.
