Bhavani deeksha conferment to begin tomorrow

Devotees will relinquish it between December 10 and December 14

Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam is making elaborate arrangements for conferment of Bhavani deeksha to the devotees from October 31.

The temple priests will confer ardha mandala and mandala deeksha to the devotees. The Bhavani deeksha mala dharana (conferment) will be from October 31 to November 4. Likewise, the ardha mandala deeksha conferment will be from November 20 to November 24.

The temple priests will take kalasa jyothi utsavam from Siva Rama Khsetram on December 3 at 5 p.m. Processional deities of Sri Ganga Parvathi sameta Sri Malleswara Swamy would also be taken out for procession in a special chariot. The procession will culminate at Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri.

The devotees will relinquish their deeksha from December 10 to December 14. The temple management will make arrangements for Bhavani homam during deeksha relinquishment days. The devotees will have to buy a ₹516 ticket for Bhavani homam. The priests will perform purnahuti on December 14 at 11 a.m.

The temple management has fixed December 10 and December 11 for devotees coming from Telangana and Rayalaseema areas. The devotees coming from Godavari and Guntur districts will have to come to the temple on December 12 and December 13 and those from Krishna district will have to visit on December 14.
