Actor and Hindupur MLA N. Balakrishna has donated ₹25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to enable the government to extend relief for the victims of cyclone Titli in Srikakulam district.

He handed over the cheque for the amount to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday.

Later, Mr. Balakrishna said the TDP founder-president and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao had a special place for Srikakulam in his heart.

“The TDP cadres and Nandamuri fans have to donate liberally to take up relief measures. Everyone should join hands in the reconstruction of Srikakulam district,” he said. The State government had taken up relief measures on a war-footing, he said.
