Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna on Tuesday asserted that if the party leadership ordered, he would campaign for the Telugu Desam Party candidates in the coming by-elections to 18 Assembly constituencies.

On the sidelines of a function at the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACHRI), he said he would abide by whatever direction was given by the party. He was replying to a question on whether he would campaign in the byelections.

Mr. Balakrishna however refused to comment on media reports of differences between TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri family, his equation with his nephew, NTR Jr, and party leader Vallabheneni Vamsi Mohan's meeting with YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. “No politics please” was all he said responding to questions.

He was clearly uncomfortable when asked about actress Roja's comments against him and again excused himself with “No comments”, before flashing a smile and leaving the hall.
