B. Tech student’s body exhumed

The death case of a B-tech student in the city took a new turn on Tuesday, when his parents lodged a complaint with the suburban police on Monday, eight days after the funeral, claiming that their son was murdered by his beloved’s father. Following the complaints, the body was exhumed and sent for post-mortem.

The body of Hemanth (20), a final year B.Tech student, was found on a footpath near the railway track in Murakambattu locality on the city outskirts, with its head crushed.

Hemanth’s parents A. George and Pramila, both school teachers from Anantapuram in Puthalapattu mandal, have been living in Doddipalle locality for his convenience to attend the college from there. Hemanth and a senior intermediate girl from the were said to be in love with each other since a year.

Hemanth’s parents left for Mysore on June 2 to attend a family function, leaving him at home alone.
