Who could have predicted that a comic book of the 1930s would capture the imagination of the 2000’s era in the form of celluloid?

The latest of the Marvel Studios creation, The Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit the city screens on Friday, and pulse of the fans is roaring and the air is filled with excitement and curiosity.

Age is just a number when it comes to Marvel fans. Super her movies’ fans comprise all age groups, from school going kids to those born in 50s. “I am 47 and yet I find it exciting to watch a super hero movie first day at a theatre, as I am a huge fan of Marvel since my childhood,” says Naidu, a software engineer.

Common evil

In the movie, you get to see about 36 characters with unique super powers uniting together to fight common evil. “Getting to see all our favourite super heroes of Marvels, right from The Iron Man to Black Panther and from Thor to Dr. Strange on one screen is like a feast for us,” says Kalyan, an Architecture student.

The plot revolves around these super heroes fighting against a new danger that has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos, and his goal of collecting six Infinity Stones, artefacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality.

However, a few have a sceptical view towards the combination of so many characters. “I am a bit unsure about this movie because there are so many characters and less time hence there would be a limited screen space for each one to perform,” says Srinivas, an engineering student.

Four theatres here are going to play back to back shows with the first show starting at 9:20 a.m and the last one at 10:30 p.m.
