Aurobindo Pharma violating labour rules: APCLC

January 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:02 am IST - SRIKAKULAM:

The Andhra Pradesh Civil Liberties Committee (APCLC) on Sunday accused Aurobindo Pharma of arbitrarily removing its employees in violation of Labour Department rules.

The committee also urged courts to immediately intervene in the matter and protect the fundamental rights of the employees.

Committee State general secretary Ch. Chandrasekhar and secretary Srimannarayana interacted with IFTU leaders P. Prasad, Neelam Raju and Aurobindo Employees and enquired about the working conditions in the factory at Pydibhimavaram. Later, APCLC members submitted a memorandum to In-charge Collector Vivek Yadav and expressed concern over the delay on the part of the government in acting against the management.

They also announced support for the ‘protest day’ to be observed on Monday by the employees at the main gate of the factory.
