Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said Artificial Intelligence (AI) played key role in sustainable development, increasing happiness of people and ease of living.

It also played an important role in the economic development of the State, he told a round-table meet on ‘Artificial Intelligence and the paradigm shift’ in New York.

The State government had been using cloud management and data storage in governance. Every issue was being analysed with the help of Information Technology and real-time governance. The government was making the best use of technologies in extending services to the people like, to name one, the Bhudar to prevent tampering of land records.

Virtual classrooms were introduced in schools and colleges to improve educational standards to meet the global demand, he said.

Investments

The Chief Minister also met several industrial giants and discussed investment opportunities with them. He invited them to invest in Andhra Pradesh. He met Bharti Enterprises founder and Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal, IBM Watson financial services executive global business head Sam Kalyanam and others.

Earlier the AP Drones corporation represented by chairman Babu A and the University of Texas Dallas represented by Emily Lacy Associate director of research and Value Thought IT Solutions Private limited represented by N Mahesh signed an MoU to create technical and trained manpower on drone and its allied areas and to utilise machine learning, deep learning and drone captured imagery. To create an ecosystem R&D centre and manufacturing centre on drones and thereby create start ups incorporating them both in Texas and Andhra Pradesh.
