Arrangements for ‘bhoomi puja’ reviewed

District Collector Kantilal Dande on Wednesday inspected Thallayapalem in Mandadam village where Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will perform the ‘bhoomi puja’ for the construction of Capital on June 6.

The ceremony will be held on a 25-acre plot that belongs to Thullur ZPTC Bezawada Narendra.

Mr. Dande, along with other district officials, went around the plot and directed the Roads and Buildings Department to clear the farm land and construct a helipad. A separate road will also be laid for vehicles to reach the venue.

Earlier, the Collector, along with Superintendent of Police (Guntur Urban) Sarva Sresth Tripathi, visited the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Lam, where the CM is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for Agricultural University on June 5.

Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh, Union Ministers Sujana Chowdary and Nirmala Seetharaman will be present on the occasion.

The university will be built on a 500-acre site near RARS.
