APPHSS warns of protest on Oct.23

AP Pratyeka Hoda Sadana Samiti on Monday warned that it would stage protests in all the Assembly constituencies in the State on October 23, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not announce special category status to AP at Amaravati on October 22. Samiti State president Chalasani Srinivas and CPI State secretary K. Ramakrishna, who conducted a padayatra along with CPI(M), and Congress here on Monday, criticised Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu for quoting rules now on the SCS. said that the Centre did not release grants to offset the revenue deficit. “So far, only Rs. 2,300 crore had been released against the revenue deficit of Rs. 15,300 crore.”
