Admissions into the National Institute of Technology (NIT) coming up in West Godavari will commence from the current academic year, based on scores secured by students in JEE-2015, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSHE) L. Venugopal Reddy said here on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the release of the AP PGECT results here, Mr. Reddy said the NIT will have 480 seats in the first year, of which 240 seats would be allocated exclusively to students from Andhra Pradesh, while the remaining 240 would be open to all other States.
Counselling
In all likelihood, counselling will commence from June 23, for which the schedule is going to be released very soon.
