A.P. reports only five fresh COVID cases

Zero active cases in Kurnool

Andhra Pradesh reported only five COVID-19 infections in the 24 hours ending Tuesday morning. It was the lowest daily tally in the last 729 days. At 0.06%, the test positivity rate of the 8,219 samples tested in the past day was the lowest ever in the State.

While nine districts reported no fresh cases, Krishna reported two fresh cases and East Godavari, Kadapa and Vizianagaram reported one fresh case each in the past day.

The number of active cases came down to 314 with 37 patients recovering in the past day. The cumulative tally increased to 23,19,509 and the toll remains at 14,730 as no death was reported in the past two weeks.

No active case in Kurnool

For the first time, the active cases tally in a district fell to zero. There was no active COVID case in the Kurnool district as of Tuesday morning.

Active case tallies in all other districts were less than a hundred. East Godavari has 95 active cases while Vizianagaram has four active cases. The total number of recoveries stand at 23,04,465.
