‘AP prepared to conduct Inter exam separately’

Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao has said that with Telangana not willing to cooperate for the common Intermediate examination, arrangements are being made for conducting the exam separately.

Replying to a query in a media conference here on Monday, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that 20 lakh Intermediate students in both the States had appeared for the common first year examination. Conducting the final year exam separately was resulting in problems. But with the Telangana government not relenting, “we are going ahead with arrangements for the separate examination from March 11,” he said.

He said that they were prepared to conduct Eamcet also separately if the Telangana Government did not cooperate.

Regretting that the Telangana government was not respecting the spirit of the State Reorganisation Act, the HRD Minister said that the Governor had written to both the governments, urging them to resolve the common Intermediate examination issue but the Telangana government did not agree.
