Despite internal issues, Andhra Pradesh is adjudged the best State for governance according to India Today Group’s study named ‘The State of States’, said a press release.

The study is an analysis of how States have made the most out of liberalisation over a period of time in general and last year in particular. The business environment and quality of life were taken into account.

Andhra Pradesh has taken giant strides towards progress last three years under the leadership of the present Chief Minister Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. The State government has launched numerous welfare programmes such as ‘Bangaru Thalli’ to secure future of girl child and given statutory status to the SC and ST sub-plans, the survey stated.
