Members of the AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association will lay siege to Haailand, located at Chinakakani in Guntur district, on November 21.
Thousands of victims from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Puducherry and other States will participate in the protest, said association honorary president Muppalla Nageswara Rao. He alleged that the AgriGold management disowned Haailand, an entertainment park, to drag on the auction process of the assets of the company.
‘Ploy to delay auction’
Addressing newsmen here on Sunday, Mr. Nageswara Rao alleged that the AgriGold management, which filed petitions in the court on Haailand, was trying to deceive lakhs of depositors, the government and the court on the park.
Some accused in the multi-crore fraud, who came out on bail, plotted a conspiracy to delay the auction process, said Mr. Nageswara Rao. He questioned why the CID was silent on the developments and demanded that it should file a petition in the court for cancellation of bail to all the accused in the case.
“Haailand was constructed with the hard earned money of lakhs of victims and the property belongs to AgriGold company. But, now the management is playing a drama with company manager, Aluru Venkateswara Rao,” alleged association general secretary V. Tirupati Rao.
He appealed to public representatives to keep politics aside and join hands to render justice to the victims.
Association deputy general secretary B.V. Chandrashekar, media coordinator Ch. Yeswanth, leaders V.V. Rao, Rambabu, Shariff and others participated.
