In a unique form of protest, AgriGold depositors and agents shaved their heads to oppose the Essel-Zee group take over of the scam-tainted firm, here on Monday.

Hundreds of agitators, led by AgriGold Depositors and Agents Association State General Secretary V. Tirupati Rao, marched from the closed down AgriGold office to the busy Church demanding the State government to take responsibility for disposing of the assets of the firm.

“The depositors and agents are on the verge of ending their lives owing to the delay in the settlement of the dues,” he said.

Speedy trial sought

The protesters, including P. Ramaiah and A. Srinivasa Rao, were upset over frequent adjournments in the case and demanded a speedy trial by the High Court.
