Advocates and judicial employees staged rasta roko in front of Kadapa district court for two hours on Saturday, condemning the attack on advocates of Seemandhra by their Telangana counterparts in Hyderabad.

Resorting to attacks on advocates and showering abuses on women advocates was shameful, women advocates Parveen Naz and Uma Devi alleged. Kadapa Bar Association president Rajesh Kumar Reddy, secretary Pratap Kumar Reddy, vice-president Rajagopala Reddy, Judicial Employees Association leaders Muralimohan, Rambabu, Muralikrishna and Mangala Gowri took part in the rasta roko.

Advocates continued relay hunger strike for the 38th day and judicial employees for the 20th day. Judicial employees Sundaresan and Palakondarayudu and retired employee Venkatasubbaiah recited songs on united Andhra Pradesh, bifurcation, drought in Rayalaseema.

Advocates protested by standing on one leg on the national highway in Rajampet and demanded that High Court authorities initiate appropriate action against the erring advocates by ordering registration of cases on them. Rajampet Bar Association president K. Sarat Kumar Raju, Political JAC leader T. Lakshminarayana Chowdary, Electricity Employees JAC leader V. Vijayan, RTC JAC leaders, advocates of Nandalur, Rajampet and Kodur and mediapersons staged a rally.
