Marking the World Acupuncture Day, the Acupuncture Science Association (ASA), in association with Indian Oam Clinics and Training Centre, is conducting a free acupressure medical camp in the city on October 24.

Amalapuram MP P. Ravindra Babu is going to inaugurate the camp at the Oam Clinic opposite the Superintendent of Police’s office, in which acupressure treatment would be provided to all ailments.

Co-convener of the ASA’s State unit A. Uday Bhaskar, at a press conference here on Sunday, said that acupressure was one of the oldest medicine systems, which was adopted as acupuncture by China.

“Now the medical system is spreading to 130 countries all over the globe and the World Health Organisation declared it as green therapy,” he said, adding that no medicines would be given to the patients in the acupuncture system, but importance would be accorded to natural healing.

He advised the patients who wish to attend the camp to register their details over phone numbers 80195-51233 or 92466-35463 in advance.
