Reliance Industries Limited ( RIL ) has urged the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to divert the funds, which it donated for the TTD's Ananda Nilayam-Anantha Swarnamayam project for construction of the proposed ‘Maha Manimandapam' at Tirumala.
The donation had been made by Chairman of RIL, Mukesh Ambani.
The Maha Manimandapam is scheduled to come up in the sprawling open space in front of the Tirumala temple.
When contacted TTDs Executive Officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao said the matter was discussed at the recently held Specified Authority meeting and it was broadly decided to accept the donation.
