Kancharapalem police in Visakhapatnam city registered a case and took a B.Tech student into custody for capturing the pictures of a girl when she was changing her dress and then blackmailing her for sexual favours here on Wednesday.
Y. Nikhil (22), the student of a private college, came in touch with the victim who used to work in a high-end mall in the city as salesgirl about a month back.
He acquired her number from a common friend and developed friendship. Having come to know that the girl was interested in joining the film industry, he posed as a photographer and promised to shoot her portfolio, said Kancharapalem SHO R.V.S.S. Chandrasekhar.
