Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that employees would have to choose between profession and personal matters. The government has asked the employees to shift here from Hyderabad by June 27 and there is no exception to it, he said.
The Chief Minister inspected the construction works for the interim Secretariat complex here on Wednesday. Later, addressing a press conference, Mr. Naidu said the government would release on June 22 an action plan for shifting the departments. Initially, a few departments would shift here by June 27. Which departments would come here first would be decided shortly, he said.
Recalling that the government has addressed the issues raised by the employees, the Chief Minister said that five-day week was announced for them to resolve temporary problems. Problems relating to roads and water supply would be solved.
Drinking water pipeline from Thullur was nearing completion and effluent treatment plant would be completed shortly. The existing roads would be strengthened and expanded to provide road connectivity. A canteen would also be started soon, he said.
“The employees are requested to think positively. Apart from their personal life, they should also think about society and public good.” Mr. Naidu, however, was quick to add that the employees were responding positively to the government appeal though there were a few who aired apprehensions.
