Law soon to protect temple land in AP: Gade Venkata Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Endowment Minister Gade Venkata Reddy that a law will be brought soon to protect temple lands in the State.

At present 35,000 acres of temple land is under encroachment. A special Act will be brought soon to protect the temple lands, besides an administrative tribunal will be formed to recover encroached temple land, Mr. Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday.

He said a ‘Rajagoparam’ will constructed at Srikhalahasti at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 crore.
