Jairam Ramesh launches B.Sc (Nursing) course

Union Minister for Environment and Forest, Jairam Ramesh who arrived here on Tuesday for a busy schedule, has formally launched the B.Sc (Nursing) course in the Government-General SVRR Hospital.

He later interacted with the Superintendent of the teaching hospital, Principal SV Medical College and other medical faculty who apprised him of their working.

Chintha Mohan, MP, Tirupati said the course was got specially sanctioned by the central government to tackle the perennial shortage of nursing staff in the SVRR Hospital and said that with an annual intake of 100 students, it would be able to meet the requirement of not only the general hospital but that of others in Rayalaseema, if necessary.
