High drama prevailed at the house of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MP Vijayashanti's house in Banjara Hills here on Friday evening as the police arrived to arrest her. But she was not to be found.

Police went to her house twice, but on the second occasion, a commotion was created when they conducted an extensive search of the premises amidst protest by TRS workers. The police had suo motu booked non-bailable cases against her following an inflammatory remark she made in the course of a speech at the party office on Wednesday.

Vijayashanti came to her house and protested the search minutes after the police left. Blaming the State government for booking a false case against her, she sought to know merit in it because she had only raised a slogan familiar with supporters of Telangana.
