Guards of a private security agency in the Kurnool General Hospital allegedly thrashed a man accompanying a poison victim and attacked him with a scissor causing a deep cut wound on his left ear, triggering off a demonstration by his relatives on the hospital premises.

Mohan Reddy of Singavaram village in Kurnool mandal, who brought his sister-in-law, who allegedly consumed poison, was pleading with a doctor to attend to her without delay, when four guards of Jai Balaji Security agency dragged him by the collar till the police outpost on the hospital premises and thrashed him, besides attacking him with a surgical scissor causing a cut wound on his ear, as policemen remained mute spectators.

Condemning the attack, his relatives staged a protest demanding action against the erring security guards. Kurnool III Town police registered a case on receiving a complaint from the aggrieved.
