Expert: swine flu homeo pills ineffective on smokers

The homeopathic medicine for swine flu being distributed to people will be ineffective if they are habitual smokers and guzzlers, AYUSH senior medical officer R. Venkata Rao has said. Participating in homeopathic medicine distribution programme by Arya Vysya Sangham at Kanyakaparameswari Temple on Tuesday, Dr. Venkata Rao said that 40,000 doses of the medicine had been handed over to Municipal Commissioner for distribution to all people in each ward. Stating that the virus would easily affect children, old people and pregnant women, he detailed the measures to be taken to control spread of the virus and also use of the medicine.
