Case against corporator

VIJAYAWADA: The South Zone police registered a case against municipal corporator G. V. Narasimha Rao and a few of his followers for allegedly assaulting some locals in Krishnalanka area during New Year celebrations on December 31 night.

The corporator and others, who moved on two-wheelers on Saturday night, allegedly created panic and assaulted the residents. A case under Section 324 and 356 r/w.34 of IPC has been registered and investigation is under progress, said the police.
