The residents of Gandhinagar and NCC Colony poured out their problems in front of Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, who visited them as part of the Praja Baata programme in the 33rd division of the Nellore Municipal Corporation on Monday.
One of their major demands was special protection for the burial ground, located in the vicinity of the colonies, from encroachers.
Mr. Sridhar Reddy said he would take up the issue with the Minister and the Collector to make sure that basic facilities such as internal roads, approach roads and lighting were developed at the burial ground. A compound wall would be constructed to secure the land.
Mr. Sridhar Reddy called upon the residents to promptly raise their problems as and when they arose so that solutions could be found in time.
