AP Cabinet meeting begins

The Cabinet may ask the Centre to frame rules under Section 8 of the A.P. Reorganisation Act vesting powers with the Governor to control the Law and Order in Hyderabad City .

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet began an emergency meeting here on Tuesday to discuss the alleged tapping of phones of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and others by TRS Government and the vesting of powers for law and order in Hyderabad city with Governor ESL Narasimhan.

The Cabinet may ask the Centre to frame rules under Section 8 of the A.P. Reorganisation Act vesting powers with the Governor to control the Law and Order in Hyderabad City and protect the vital installations.

The cabinet is likely to adopt a resolution requesting the centre to act on both the issues. Andhra Pradesh DGP J.V. Ramudu and other top officials are attending the meeting.
