As many as nine nominations filed for the Tirupati bypoll were rejected on various grounds on Wednesday, leaving 23 candidates in the fray.
After completing the scrutiny here on Wednesday, with representatives of various parties, Revenue Divisional Officer V. Veerabrahmaiah, who is also the Returning Officer, announced the final list of candidates.
With the last date for withdrawal of nominations, January 30, is fast approaching, the TDP has renewed its appeal to the Congress to make the election unanimous .
