MLC Y. Srinivasulu Reddy, accompanied by DYFI district general secretary S. Jayachandra, on Tuesday began a 48-hour fast, demanding that vacant posts in the government as well as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) be filled. Staging the demonstration in front of the TTD’s administrative building, Mr. Reddy said the government should take immediate steps to offer jobs to educated unemployed youth. “We have been conducting the ‘Porubata Yatra’ demanding that the 6,700 posts in the TTD and 1,38,534 posts in the government be filled immediately,” he added.
