Updated - July 13, 2016 06:01 am IST - KURNOOL:

Kurnool General Hospital Superintendent J. Veeraswamy said on Tuesday that it came to his notice that four doctors, who are away in Hyderabad, were getting their attendance marked in the hospital, by giving their swipe cards to others and added that he would inquire into the episode and forward a report to the Government recommending action.

Doctors in the hospital were marking their attendance through the biometric system by putting their thumb impression, Dr. Veeraswamy told the media. However, four doctors were misusing it, he said but did not disclose their names.

Stating that it was an irregularity, he said the absentee doctors as well as those swiping their cards to mark attendance would be identified with the help of biometric system and the closed circuit cameras and appropriate action would be recommended against them, he said.
