All roads leading to Nehru Municipal Grounds, ahead of Telugu Desam Party’s ‘Praja Garjana’, wore a festive look with party flags, flexi banners and festoons in varying shades of yellow. TDP cadres, after a week-long monitoring have ensured to set up an impressive stage for their Party President’s campaign from Tirupati.

Speaking to the media, after inspecting the meeting venue here on Saturday, senior TDP leader Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu opined that the State was not only plagued by bad governance for the past 10 years but also with a newly found issue of separatism. He blamed former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy for bringing out the statehood issue from the cold storage.

Mr. Naidu also flayed YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy for his ‘fake’ integrationist stand and said that latter was neither concerned about people or government but was worried about his CBI cases.

“Jagan broke up from Congress with his ill-gotten wealth, supported creation of Telangana in several instances and now he is donning an integrationist mask in a mock fight against bifurcation to hide his separatist stand,” he added. Mr. Naidu also condemned the comments of Y.S. Jagan against their party President N. Chandrababu Naidu. “How can a responsible Member of Parliament urge people to grab the collar of a leader,” he said.

Contrasting the services rendered by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the regime of N.T. Rama Rao and N. Chandrababu Naidu, to the current scenario, Mr. Naidu said that TTD which stood out for its impeccable services for the poor has now transformed into an entity of corruption.

“The appointment of an atheist chairman and corrupt executive officers, in successive Congress regimes has tainted the name of TTD. Even red sanders smuggling is going on unabated under Congress rule,” he observed. Chittoor MP N. Sivaprasad, Ex-MLA Chadalawada Krishnamurthy also spoke.
