Considering the situation in Nepal after Saturday’s devastating earthquake, Air India has decided sharply reduce one way fare from New Delhi/ Kolkata/Varanasi to Kathmandu sectors from Rs.14,000 to Rs.4,700 inclusive of all taxes.
Due to previous cancellations of flights to and from Kathmandu and to provide relief to stranded passengers at Kolkata and Kathmandu, Air India plans to operate four additional flights apart from the normal flights to the mountain destination on Monday.
Air India will operate AI 1247 which will departure from Kolkata 11 a.m. will arrive in Kathmandu at 12-45 p.m.
The return flight AI 1248 will leave Kathmandu at 1-45 p.m and reach Kolkata at 2-55 p.m.
Between Delhi and Kathmandu there will be two additional flights. The flight from Varanasi AI 1251 will depart at 12-15 p.m. and will land at Kathmandu at 1-25 p.m The return flight AI 1252 will leave Kathmandu at 2-25 p.m. and reach back Varanasi at 1505 hrs.
Air India said it could operate only two flights after Kathmandu was hit by the devastating earth quake.
