Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani, who filed his nomination for the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat on Saturday, declared assets worth Rs. 7.5 crore.
Mr. Advani and his wife Kamla Advani together have movable assets, which include cash, bank deposits and jewellery, to the tune of Rs. 2,01,77,276, said an affidavit he filed at the Collectorate.
They together own immovable assets, which include residential properties, worth Rs. 5,57,38,000 at the current market value. The five-time MP from Gandhinagar has a plot in Sector 2 in the district valued approximately at Rs. 1 crore. He owns two flats in Gurgaon valued at Rs. 2.2 crore. The total assets, movable and immovable, of Mr. Advani and his family amount to Rs. 7,59,15,276.
The affidavit also mentions a pending case against him, related to the Babri Masjid demolition, in Uttar Pradesh.
