Two suspected Afghan nationals held

Two persons, suspected to be Afghan nationals, were remanded to police custody for five days at Islampur in West Bengal’s Uttar Dinajpur district on Sunday. The duo was arrested in a raid on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Shankar Singh said. They were unable to produce valid identification papers, Mr.Singh said. While one of them was certainly from Afghanistan, the other said he was born here.
