Tamil Nadu Law Minister in Delhi

Senior DMK leader and Tamil Nadu Law Minister Durai Murugan on Sunday arrived in Delhi, amidst rising clamour for Information Technology Minister A. Raja’s removal from the Union Cabinet.

However, DMK sources said the minister’s visit is to meet the counsel appearing for Tamil Nadu in the Mullaperiyar Dam case, which is likely to come up before the Supreme Court this week.

Mr. Murugan’s visit assumes significance in the context of the opposition parties, including the BJP and the Left, threatening to stall Parliament till Mr. Raja is sacked from the Union Council of Ministers.
