SER cancels six trains

Following the detention of the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express by Maoist-backed Police Santrash Birodhi Janasadharaner Committee at Banstala near Jhargram, the South Eastern Railway (SER) authorities cancelled six trains and diverted six more.

Among the trains cancelled are the Howrah-Tatanagar Steel Express, Howrah-Koraput Express and Howrah-Ranchi-Hatia-Howrah Express while among the trains diverted are Howrah-Mumbai Geetanjali Express, Puri-New Delhi Neelachal Express and Dibrugarh Town-Chennai Express.

The SER authorities have started toll-free helplines from Howrah, Kharagpur, Tatanagar and Bhubaneswar for more information about the changed schedules.
