Road Transport Secretary appointed

Raminder Singh Gujral, Director General, Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, will take over as Road Transport and Highways Secretary on August 1, with the superannuation of Brahm Dutt, who retires on July 31.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved the appointment of the 1976 batch IAS officer from Haryana.
