Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Rahul Gandhi's statement on Naga peace accord in Lok Sabha "is completely false and baseless".

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday alleged Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi “misled” the house on Naga Accord by giving “false and baseless” information.

Minutes after Mr. Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not consulting the Home Minister on the >Naga Accord , Mr. Rajnath said: “I had several rounds of consultations with the Prime Minister on Naga peace process. I strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi’s attempt to mislead the House.”

“... (his) statement on Naga Peace accord in Lok Sabha today (Wednesday) is completely false and baseless,” he added.

Earlier, Mr. Gandhi said: “Even the Home Minister was not aware of the Naga Accord, which PM signed.”

“Most important question, where is Naga Accord now? It’s gone with the wind,” Mr. Gandhi added.
