A court here on Tuesday acceded to request of the former Telecom Minister, A. Raja, and two others, allegedly involved in the 2G spectrum scam, that their appearance in court, when their remand expires on March 17, be facilitated through videoconferencing from the Tihar jail. The other two petitioners are the former Telecom Secretary, Siddhartha Behura, and Mr. Raja's former private secretary, R. K. Chandolia.
Plea to defreeze bank accounts
Mr. Behura's bail application will be heard on March 18 along with his plea for de-freezing his bank accounts.
On Monday, another accused, Shahid Usman Balwa, availed himself of the videoconferencing facility on the heels of Mr. Raja doing so earlier also.
