A woman was shot dead and another person injured when a 13-year-old boy allegedly opened fire at his brother over some minor issue at Sadharanpur village in the Saharanpur district, police said today.
The boy Amit opened fire yesterday at his younger brother Ankit, who had a narrow escape, Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar said.
In the fray, a 60-year-old woman Kamla was killed, while another woman Lalita was injured and admitted to a hospital in serious condition.
Police has registered a case against the absconding accused and the body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem.
