One CRPF constable missing after Maoist ambush

A CRPF constable, who was part of the contingent that was ambushed by the Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, is missing.

26-year-old constable Neeraj Kumar, hailing from Bihar, is untraceable, CRPF officials today said after checking the list of the personnel in the contingent which was attacked by the Maoists yesterday killing 26 jawans belonging to the force.w

They said a search operation is on to find out the whereabouts of Kumar, whose company was attacked by heavily armed Maoists.

The attack came nearly three months after the terrible Dantewada massacre by the Maoists which left 75 personnnel of the force and one Chhattisgarh policeman dead.
