A local court posted the bail application of arrested PDP leader Abdul Nasser Maudany, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts, to September 6.

When the bail application came up before Fifth Fast Track Court (FTC) Judge Shrikant Watawati, the Special Public Prosecutor Rudraswamy filed his objections, following which the plea was posted to Monday for final hearing.

Maudany was remanded to judicial custody till September 7 on August 26 after police did not seek extension of police custody. He was arrested from Kollam in Kerala by a Karnataka police team on August 17.

Maudany lodged in the Central Jail here has been accorded certain facilities, including medical, in view of his ailments.

The PDP leader was arrested after a Bangalore court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him in connection with the July, 2008, blasts that left one person dead and injured 20 others.
