It's for AICC to decide on Jagan: Kiran Kumar

November 28, 2010 02:12 am | Updated October 22, 2016 04:22 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

The new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Saturday said it was for the AICC, and not for him, to decide on disciplinary action against Kadapa Congress MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, whose Sakshi TV channel, in a programme, attacked party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

“Jagan will be treated like any other Congress MP. I take this opportunity to seek cooperation from all party MPs in the State,” said the Chief Minister, who was here to discuss Cabinet formation with Ms. Gandhi and Dr. Singh. He said the MP is the son of “our leader YSR [Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy]” who spent most of his life “in the Congress family.”

YSR's younger brother and MLC Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy said Jagan would meet Ms. Gandhi and express regret over the “Sakshi” incident.
