A government primary school teacher accused of raping a colleague in Mehsana district of north Gujarat was arrested on Monday morning.
The Kadi police picked up Mukesh Patel, the principal accused, from Detroj town in central Gujarat. Mukesh had been absconding since the incident came to light last week after the victim attempted suicide.
In her suicide note, the victim named three persons, whose repeated gang-raping for the last eight months forced her to take the step. Two of the accused, Ketan Thakar and Dinesh Patel, were arrested earlier and are in police remand till June 30.
