Former MP missing from train

A former MP from Jharkhand was reported missing from the Sealdah-bound Rajdhani Express on Thursday. The former MP from Dumka, 81-year-old Bateswar Hembram, was travelling with his son, Brahmadeo Hembram. He was seen last by his son at Mughalsarai station on Wednesday midnight, sources said.

Mr. Bateswar Hembram, who is stated to be suffering from a brain disorder, might have got off the train somewhere between Mughalsarai and Kanpur, Dilip Mitra, Additional Director-General (Railway) told The Hindu .

After a search was conducted on the train, a missing persons' complaint was filed by Mr. Brahmadeo Hembram with the Government Railway Police at Asansol in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal.
