Fog disrupts flight operations at IGI airport

Air operations at the IGI airport here were affected due to dense fog on Saturday morning leading to delay in schedule of several flights.

A cargo flight was diverted while schedule of several others were affected on Saturday morning, an airport official said.

Fog started to descend on the airport on Friday night and thickened around 11 PM, forcing airport authorities to implement low visibility procedures at around 11.20 PM.

Flight operations were disrupted due to fog on Friday also.
